St. Joseph's Evening College (Autonomous), Bengaluru in association with Centre for Contemporary Issues, Bengaluru organised the first of its leadership lecture series, ‘Climbing the mountain of Life’ on February 20, 2020 at St. Joseph's Boys High School auditorium. Mr. Bhaskar Rao IPS, the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru was the chief guest, and resource person for the event.

Mr. Bhaskar Rao said that success always comes with failures and success has a lot of prize to pay. Recalling his 'failures' he reiterated, "One needs to embrace failures and respect it. It will take you high. They are the best teachers.”

The talk was followed by an interactive session with the resource person. The students actively took part in the session by asking questions. The chief guest was formally felicitated by Rev. Fr. Sunil Prabhu SJ along with the Principal, Dr. Albert Joseph Smith; Vice Principal, Dr. Priya S; and Mr. Stephen David, Director, Centre for Contemporary Issues
