A complete student enterprise comprising of only the students of Journalism, the Lead Club was established in the year 2001. The club coordinated by the HOD of the Department of Journalism comprises of mainly three office-bearers the President, Vice-President and a Joint Secretary. Each year new office bearers are selected by democratic means. The president is always elected from the III B.A (JPS) respectively.

Objectives of the Club :

  3. It organizes Workshops, Seminars and special lectures on various topics concerned with media and current affairs.
  4. It arranges for short term courses in English, Photography and creative writing.
  5. It plays an active role in exposing the students to socio-economic realities.
  6. The Lead Club puts up a weekly wall journal, consisting of articles written by journalism students. It also produces a newsletter, in which the students themselves are the editor and reporters.
  7. It arranges for media visits for the III year students to printing presses and newspaper houses.
