Hindi association :
The Hindi Association of St. Joseph's Evening College exist since 1970. It conducts many cultural and literary competitions every year.

Objectives :
  • To create awareness of the National Language.
  • To encourage students to use Hindi Language just as their Mother Tongue.
  • To build confidence in students to express their throughts and feelings in Hindi.
  • To inspire Hindi students with the College Objecjtives, Ideals and Values.
  • To bring out the hidden talents of the Hindi students by conducting various literary and cultural acitivities.

Milestones of Hindi Association :

  • 1998 - Release of "Kavya Shree" - Poems written by Dr. K.N. Sheshadri Head of Department of Hindi.
  • 1999 - Release of "Swarnim 2000" Collection of poems written by hindi students of sjec.

Dr. K.N. Sheshadri the Head of Hindi Department was falicitated for his contribution to Hindi Literature, by Chief Justice of India Mr. Venkatachala; Karnataka Mahila Hindi Seva Samithi Bangalore.

Text books prepared by Hindi Department for Degree classes for Bangalore University :

  1. Ekanki Prabha for II B.A ,II BSC.
  2. Swamy Vivekananda for I B.COM classes.
  3. Katha Madhuri edited Collection of short stories.
