According to the Bangalore University regulations, only working students are permitted to enroll in the Evening Colleges. Students join the college with a deep desire to enhance their knowledge in spite of hardships and inconveniences. During the stay in the College studying the subjects is the major task. The College has a reading room and a good library. It is left to the students to make use of them as much as possible and keep themselves abreast of happenings in the country and the world. By the time students graduate, the aim is 'developing the art of critical thinking'.

| To help in the formation of students, there are various associations in the College. The College Cultural team, Commerce and Management Forum, Social Science Association, Social Service League, Women's Cell, History Club, AICUF, CLC and Language Associations are meant to help to broaden horizons and provide opportunities for the exercise of leadership. Students are requested to join at least one of these Associations and thus develop initiative, confidence and social values.
